Bruegel in Brabant

WÖR & Gertjan Biasino present Bruegel in Brabant, a performance where music, heritage, and visual art merge.

In their new concert program, the renowned Flemish folk group WÖR places the vibrant sound of the Bruegel bagpipe at the center, led by bagpipevirtuoso Pieterjan Van Kerckhoven. Centuries-old melodies from Brabant – the region between Antwerp and Brussels where Flemish master Bruegel lived and worked – are brought back to life.

Visual artist Gertjan Biasino creates a stunning stage setting with video animations inspired by Bruegel’s iconic paintings, in which the bagpipe often plays a central role.
